Scholarship Opportunities for International Students
“Because of the Rodriguez-Pastor Family Scholarship, I’m not worried about getting a part-time job to cover food and basic expenses. I can focus on going to class and pursuing my passions. I have joined four clubs this semester, and I don’t think that that would have been possible at all without it.”

UC Berkeley values the diverse perspectives international students bring to our campus and is committed to supporting their academic success. While federal and state financial aid is generally unavailable to international students, the university offers several institutional scholarships for undergraduates from around the world.
This website serves as a resource for scholarship opportunities specifically for undergraduate international students. These scholarships do not require students to submit a separate application— all admitted undergraduate international students are automatically considered for the scholarship programs for which they are eligible.
Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholarship
The Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholarship is UC Berkeley’s most prestigious undergraduate scholarship, awarded to exceptional students who demonstrate creativity, leadership, service, and strong convictions. Candidates are selected through a holistic review process from the top applicants to UC Berkeley. All students who apply, including first-year and transfer international students, are automatically considered.
Robinson International Scholars Program
The Robinson International Scholars Program enriches UC Berkeley’s global learning environment by developing transformational leaders. Founded in 2022 by the Robinson family, this special program supports select international students who are refugees or stateless individuals from Sub-Saharan African nations.
