Public Relations Assistant

About this Position:
We’re looking to increase our creations of fun and engaging informational content about Financial Aid, Scholarships, and Financial Wellness.
Responsibilities:
Assists in developing public (social media) facing communications, including written, visual, and experiential concepts, for a large, highly visible, student supporting organization.
Specifically, those hired will be the persona for future informative videos surrounding Financial Aid. These videos will be made public via our Student Affairs youtube channel and our upcoming Social Media accounts.
Additionally, those hired will assist in conducting assessments of existing messages and materials, crafting new messages for social media, and help decide which channels are best for distribution in collaboration with the Customer & Communication Strategist. This role will be fully supported by Financial Aid & Scholarships the Customer & Communication Strategist.
This role is intended to be a multi-semester position.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Must be in good academic standing- Preferred 3.0 GPA and be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
- Demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Demonstrate ability to work well as part of a team or independently, as needed.
- Must be comfortable in front of a camera.
- Has a passion for Social Media and sharing important information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Creating social media campaigns
- Marketing/communication
- Graphic design
- Work-study eligibility preferred, but not required
Hours per week: 5-10
Pay rate: $17.50/hour with opportunity for an increase each academic year

Additionally, those hired will assist in conducting soft assessments of existing messages and materials, assist with crafting new messages for social media, and help decide which channels are best for distribution in collaboration with the Customer & Communication Strategist. This role will be fully supported by Financial Aid & Scholarships the Customer & Communication Strategist.
This role is intended to be a multi-semester position.

Media Assistant
**This position will start Spring 2022. Those students graduating before Fall 2022 should not apply. **
About this Position:
We are looking to create a seamless user experience for students and employers participating in the Work-Study Program through the creation of media tools such as video guides and print materials. The candidate will assist in achieving this goal by creating media tools for students and supervisors to assist them in navigating systems and information related to the program.
This job allows for remote work, subject to supervisor approval (remote employment must take place in the USA).
Responsibilities:
Create print and video media materials and edit/format videos for distribution to public sites, emails, etc.
Additionally, those hired will have the opportunity to review existing materials and public sites to provide feedback for further improvements. This role will be supported by the Program Analyst for the Work-Study Program.
This role is intended to be a multi-semester position.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate ability to use video/media editing software like Adobe Suite – Premiere, Indesign, Imovie, Camtasia, etc.
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrate ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- Must be comfortable with Google applications
- Must be available weekdays 9-5pm (remote work location must be in the USA)

Student Assistant

About this Position & Responsibilities:
The Work-Study Program is transitioning its hard copy documents to a digital format. Responsible for scanning, digitizing, indexing, record validation and quality assurance, filing etc. May be asked to deliver confidential files to staff in departments across campus. Other duties may include data entry, email response, reception and other general office duties – high volume, fast-paced work environment.
This job is a hybrid of in-person and remote work opportunity subject to supervisor approval (remote employment must take place in the USA).
Hours per week: 10-15
Pay rate: $16.32/hour with opportunity for an increase each academic year
Qualifications:
- Must have intermediate computer skills in Word, Excel and internet and email applications;
- Ability to acquire proficiency with complex, custom database;
- Preferred experience in all aspects of office management, such as reception, copying, filing, mailing, scheduling, proofreading and composing email correspondence and other documents;
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must have strong organizational skills; Available hours, weekdays 9AM-5PM
